Number & Words is developed by Asha Information Tech Pty Ltd and owned by PatrolX Technologies Pty Ltd and Anuj Agarwal, Sonal Daga, Vivek Bothra. We provide AI-generated practice questions and test simulations for Australian students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9.

We collect the following personal information:

• Account information — email address and hashed password, used for authentication and account management.
• Usage data — questions answered, scores, session times, year level and subject selections, used for progress tracking and personalised practice.
• Purchase data — subscription status and transaction identifiers, used for subscription management. Card details are processed by Stripe or Apple — we never store them.

• To provide the practice platform and track student progress.
• To process and manage subscriptions.
• To send transactional emails (sign-in, password reset, receipts).
• To improve question quality and platform features.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We use the following services to operate Number & Words:

• Supabase — database and authentication, hosted in Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2).
• Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Apple — in-app purchase processing for iOS subscriptions. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

Number & Words does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), fingerprinting, or any cross-app tracking technologies. We do not use analytics SDKs in our iOS app. We do not display advertisements.

Our service is designed for students aged 8–15. All accounts must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental consent.

Parents and guardians may at any time:

• Review the personal information we hold about their child.
• Request correction or deletion of their child's data.
• Withdraw consent for further data collection.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately.

Your data is stored on Supabase servers in Sydney, Australia and processed using Vercel infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We implement row-level security policies so users can only access their own data.

We retain your account and practice data for the duration of your subscription plus 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:

• Using the "Delete Account" option in the app's Settings screen.
• Emailing speak2vb@gmail.com.

We will delete your personal data within 30 days of receiving your request. Some anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. question difficulty statistics) may be retained.

Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the APPs.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
